I am working within film and animation, exploring their possibilities when creating surreal and politically charged work. I create layers of meaning using symbolism, references to culture, religion, fairytales and folklore, famous stories, current global issues and personal experiences and beliefs. By bringing all these together I make work that explores the chaotic nature of the world we have created for ourselves. I am currently focusing on the way in which we exist in a society with multiple realities, one end of the spectrum being a corrupt, excessive consumer culture and the other being a simple spritual existence that involves compassion interconnectedness and freedom from materiality and restraints of current societal norms. I explore how the two interact in our world today and how they influence our behaviour in a capitalist society, particularly focusing on the way this has affected my views.
