My work is investigating the way in which our contemporary interest and belief in witches and witchcraft is a constant tension between what our rational knowledge tells us is impossible and what our emotive side wants to believe. It is a tension perpetuated and exemplified by the way in which cinema and television record false, sensationalised mythologies of witchcraft, which distance us from the actual historical truth of witches and witchcraft.
